of use
World Tutor endeavours to provide a
world-class English language tutoring service. The following trems of
usage govern all aspects of
the use of the World Tutor website
and tutorial services. By registering with World Tutor the "customer"
should abide by the following
terms and rules. A violation of these
terms will result in the service being withdrawn for the specific
individual.
1. Formation of contract.
Upon booking a
World Tutor English training program a contract automatically comes
into effect whereby the customer agrees to
various terms
and conditions stipulated by World Tutor.
2. Changes.
Any changes to
the service provided by World Tutor shall be given in advance. Changes
to the details provided by the customer
should be
informed at the first available opportunity to World Tutor.
3. Payment.
All payments
need to be cleared before lessons can commence. Upon clearance of
payment a receipt shall be sent to the customer
by email.
4. Termination of contract.
World Tutor
reserves the right to terminate the membership of any registered
student for any reason. No refunds, payments or
compensation
of any kind will be paid to members whose registration has been
terminated under this condition.
5. Tutors.
World Tutor
strives to ensure adherence to national educational certification
standards.
6. Availability/Scheduling.
You can book
as many lessons as have been paid for, any length of time in advance.
Lessons should be booked a minimum of
36 hours prior
to the time requested. World Tutor's online tutoring service is
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unavailability
of tutors for
a specific time can occasionally occur due to technological problems
out of our control. Should a registered student
be unable to
attend a lesson, that student may reschedule their booking to any other
avaialble time at no cost or penalty
upto 24 hours
before the scheduled lesson time.
7. Copyright.
All content
found within our website remains the property of World Tutor, content
shall not be reproduced or used without express
written
permission from us. Please notify us of any alleged infringement of
material.
8. Privacy.
All
information given to World Tutor by the student shall be kept in
confidence and used only for the purpose of World Tutor.
9. Conduct.
All registered
tutors and students agree not to post, distribute, publish or by any
other means transmit material which is offensive,
including offensive language,
photography or any material of a sexual nature. Breach of this
condition by any member
will result in
termination of
that member's registration and may result in the appropriate
authorities being notified. All registered tutors agree not
to contact any
registered student either directly or indirectly for the purpose of
arranging tuition time with
that student through any
mechanism other than the World Tutor website.
Failure to adhere to this condition, and in particular any action whatsoever taken
by a
registered tutor with the objective of privately arranging tuition time
with a registered World Tutor student through any other
means may result in the termination of both that
tutor's membership and that of the student concerned.
10. Personal Information.
It is
the sole responsibility of each registered student to ensure that all
personal details, including contact email addresses are up
to date and
accurate at all times.
11. Preferred lesson time.
We aim
to provide lessons at the preferred date and time of the students
choice, but it may occassionaly occur that for reasons
beyond our
control a lesson cannot be given at the prefered time. If this does
happen we shall ask the student to suggest an
alternative date and time.
12. Jurisdiction.
The
provisions of this agreement shall be governed by the laws of England
and Wales.
